Do it yourself with 3D printing, electronics & textile design - under this motto summer camps will take place in July & August 2023 at Happylab for children from 8 - 12 years!
Rais your hands - who is already looking forward to summer like we are? Our absolute highlight in the summer months: Of course our vacation camps for children from 8 - 12 years! The exciting summer weeks at Happylab are all about "Do it yourself - with 3D printing, electronics and textile design". The children will become real makers themselves and get to know our Makerspace with all its equipment.
The vacation camps will take place from July 10 - 14, 2023 & August 07 - 11, 2023 at Happylab Vienna and include vacation care including workshops, leisure activities and catering.
The program:
- Nerdy Derby: We start the summer camp with our Nerdy Derby - the car race for makers and those who want to become one. The kids build their own race car and send it into the race on our 8 m long, CNC-milled track at Happylab.
- 3D design & 3D printing: Kids design their own 3D models on the computer and watch them become three-dimensional objects on the 3D printer.
- Drawdio - Music from a pencil: In just a few steps, the children build their own electronic musical instrument from a normal pencil and a few electronic components.
- Textile design - Make your own T-shirt: Using a cutting plotter and transfer press, the children apply their previously self-designed motifs to T-shirts. There are no limits to creativity!
- Glowing pins & masks: The kids experiment with conductive thread, battery, conductive tape and LEDs to make fabric glow.
- Do-It-Yourself Chocolate Molds: To wrap up summer camp, kids create chocolate molds on the thermoforming machine and pour their custom candy bars.
In the afternoon, it's off to the park, the museum or a fun park - depending on our mood and the weather. The price (370 € per participant and week) includes all materials for the workshops, as well as meals (hot lunch and snacks).
